
Job Overview:
We are looking for a creative and experienced individual to join our team as a lead home stager. As a lead home stager, you will be responsible for transforming vacant and occupied properties into warm and inviting homes that potential buyers can see themselves living in. This will involve furniture selection, placement, and styling, as well as the use of color and accessories to create a cohesive and appealing look. A successful candidate will have a strong sense of style, an eye for detail, and the ability to work within the budget and time constraints of each project.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
The lead Home stager will have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include -
Meeting with clients, visit staging space and assess property needs
Assisting clients in decluttering their space, advise owners as to what household items should be removed for storage or rearranged, remove personal mementos; rearrange furniture
Coordinating with Realtor to schedule photographer appointment once staging is complete
Educating clients regarding ongoing staging needs so home is ready for showings
Creating written consultations with recommendations to owners on how to improve the appearance of their home in order to increase its market value
Selecting furnishings and decor from our inventory to create a welcoming environment
Develop a custom staging plan for each client that outlines the scope of work and associated costs
Arrange and rearrange furniture, art, and accessories to create an inviting and appealing space that highlights the home’s best features
Work within the budget and timeframe specified in the staging plan
Take before photos of the staged home to document the transformation for the client
De-stage the home once it is sold
Maintain a portfolio of past projects to showcase to potential clients
Stay up-to-date on current trends in home staging and design
Attend trade shows, workshops, and other events with owner to network with Realtors
Outstanding Customer Service Skills
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a home stager
Strong portfolio of decorating or staging work
Creativity and an eye for design
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interpret the individual needs of each client
Excellent critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Willingness to travel throughout the metro area
Ability to lift at least 30 lbs
Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Home staging or interior design certification
Strong desire to continue to grow skill set with ongoing education and training
Work Environment:
The lead home stager will typically work in the homes of property owners, which means having the ability to work in a variety of settings. Some work will also be completed from home and at our warehouses while conducting staging planning and during inventory selection (furniture and accessories.)
This position will typically work during regular business hours, but will need to be available to meet with clients or work on projects outside of normal business hours. May work on multiple projects at the same time and must be able to juggle multiple deadlines.
Compensation:
Between $22.00 and $26.00/hr depending on experience.
Hours:
Part-time and flexible but ability to go full-time possible in late 2024.
